I've never used this site to ask for assistance, but what's the good in having a website, and various social media accounts, if I don't use them to beg now and then? As many of us are holed up in our homes for the next little while, I figured this is as good a time as any to work on some brick walls, hunt down some thus far elusive photographs, and collect some family stories. And so I turn to you, dear readers/relatives! Here is what I am hoping you can help me with:
I can do the research. I can find dates of birth and death, marriage certificates, baptism records, wills and deeds. What I can't do on my own is piece together a complete picture of who all of these people actually were. What they were like as people. Whether they were strict or laid back parents. What made them laugh, what made them cry, what they loved, and what they feared. If they liked the outdoors, or preferred to stay at home and read. If they pulled faces in photos, scowled, or smiled politely. To really get to know all these people who came before me, I need your help. If you think you can provide any of the above, there are numerous ways to reach out: you can comment on this post, email me, message me on Facebook or Instagram, or use the contact me link on this site. Many thanks in advance!
